What WoW Burning Crusade Classic's Character Clone Service Is

Blizzard on June 1 is set to launch Burning Crusade Classic, a major update for retro-minded World of Warcraft players. One feature the company has promoted is its Character Clone service, even highlighting it directly on the game's website. Knowing how it works is fundamental for playing on Classic servers. To get more news about buying gold classic wow, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

Burning Crusade Classic, in short, replicates World of Warcraft as it was in 2007. The original Burning Crusade expansion introduced things like the Outland, flying mounts, and two new races, the blood elves and draenei. Although later expansions have their fans - Shadowlands was released in November 2020 - some gamers consider Burning Crusade or the base World of Warcraft to represent a "golden era" with fundamentally different gameplay.

As of the Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch, all existing Classic realms are switching over their content, Blizzard notes. The company is also, however, launching new Classic Era realms, which will remain locked into Azeroth and the Shadow of the Necropolis patch - that is, characters in those realms won't have access to the Outland or other Burning Crusade material. The Character Clone service creates a snapshot of any World of Warcraft character created before the patch, giving the choice of Progressions (Burning Crusade) or Classic Era gameplay - but not both, unless a person pays a real-world fee. Blizzard isn't advertising that amount at the moment, but warns that its customer support team can't undo a single-track activation. A clone can be activated in both realm types after the fact, however.

Once players update World of Warcraft to Burning Crusade, the choice between Progression or Classic Era realms is offered immediately after launching the game in Battle.net. Notably, previously deleted characters can be revived as a clone, but all clones on a realm count toward that realm's character limit, including deactivated ones. Blizzard further cautions that while clones get to keep their inventory, friends, and bank and mailbox items, switching to Classic Era removes all guild ties, even Guild Master designations. That could steer some guilds towards Burning Crusade.

As might be expected, characters created after Burning Crusade Classic's launch can't be cloned. Likewise, post-update progress can't be mirrored in another realm type if both clones are activated, regardless of when the character was created. The variety of restrictions on World of Warcraft Classic players could cause a schism - only time will tell how many people want Burning Crusade's gameplay over the current form of Classic.
