LAND ROVER DC100 CONCEPT KEEPS EVOLVING
Today, Land Rover provided a clearer picture of the next-generation Defender at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show. The vehicle presents a futuristic take on the Defender's classic design cues. The striking front grille is flanked by round headlights and incorporates a winch.
Under the hood, the latest upgrades include an intelligent start-stop system, plus an 8-speed automatic gearbox, both of which will be compatible with a future hybrid powertrain.
While sleek and sophisticated, the Land Rover DC100 Concept remains a very capable off-roader that can tackle virtually any obstacle thanks to its advanced all-wheel drive system with Terrain Response.
Also worth mentioning is the Terrain-i system which uses HD cameras to identify potential hazards all around the vehicle and provide fighter-jet-like 3D visuals.
